Nowmala High School Is One of The Best & Biggest High Schools In Patuakhali District. In 1967 Late Md. Master Abdul Aziz Howlader & Late Abul Hasem Howlader Took An Initiative Effort to Establish A High School In The Village Of Botkazol. Responding To Their Untiring Effort. Late Mr. Md. Bacher Ali Howlader & Md. Motaher Uddin Talukder Gifted About Two Acres Of Land For The School. Late Md. Samsul Haque, Who Was The Founder Headmaster Also Tried His Best Along With The Local People For The Establishment Of The School. Starting With Only Twenty Students In A Tin Shade House. Now The School Has A Two Storyed Building & Three Tin Shade Buldings And More Than One Thousand Students. The Class Room, Office Room, Laboratory, Common Room And Library Are All Electrified & Well-Furnished. There Are Twelve Teachers In The School Who Are Highly Educated, Efficient, Trained & Exprienced. But The Number Of Teachers Are Insufficient In Proportion To The Students. From The Very Beginning Of The School, The Results Of Junior Scholarship Exams. J.S.C & S.S.C Exams. Have Always Been Very Good & Satisfactory. The School Has Also a Great Reputation In Sports & Cultural Activities. Every Year At Least 150 Students Take Part In The S.S.C Examination. Though The Number Of Students Are Increasing Day By Day, The Number Of Teachers Are Not Increasing Because There Is No Approved Section In The School. School Authority Has Been Trying Heart & Soul For The Approval Of “B” Section In Five Classes. Unfortunately They Have So Far Been Unsuccessful In The Opening The Sections. If The Education Ministry Gives Approval Of Five “B” Sections, The School Authority Will Be Able To Gear Up The Standard Of Education In The School.
