Hazera-Taju Degree College which is now going to be a complete university college started its activities in 1991 as a women college. Honorable founder Mr. Nurul Islam B.Sc; M.P. with a dream of flourishing female education, and removing darkness of ignorance established this college and named it after the name of his parents (Hazera-mother and Taju-father). But with the passage of time people of all walks of life started showing their interest to see it as co-education college. Thinking about the welfare of local students it was turned to co-education college in 1995. Though started as intermediate college, now here runs the courses of degree, and honours too. Its total strength is now above four thousands. Now illuminating the area and enlightening the students it has become an institute of surprise, a model, a source of human resource. Since the very beginning, the college family has been working hard to ensure quality education and to contribute to develop human resource.
