“The Library & Information Science department is an established department since 2015.

The Post Graduate Diploma in Library & Information Science (PGDLIS) Diploma program normally takes one academic year to complete. One year is divided into 2 Semesters (Spring Semester: January-June and Autumn Semester: July-December). Duration of each semester is not less than 14 teaching weeks. There shall be final examinations at the end of each semester conducted by the Examination Committee of the PGDLIS program.

In order to complete the Diploma, total 40 credit hours to be undertaken and completed by 02 semesters. However, a student may be allowed to complete their graduation studies in the university within maximum of three academic years (i.e. 06 semesters).

The total contact period for the regular students including lecture and tutorial shall be between 20 periods per week, each period being 45-60 minutes in duration”
