Law degrees have always been among the most sought-after and widely respected courses to study. However commendable students of our country were reluctant to study law. But, now the scenario is changing; meritorious students are coming forth to study law. Unfortunately, the major hurdle they face is the lack of high-quality institutions.
Considering this fact, IUB has opened the Department of Law for those students who are kin to acquire knowledge and are looking for a top-class university to pursue their law degree. The Department offers a four-year undergraduate program in law leading to Bachelor of Laws i.e. LLB (Hons)) under the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (SLASS).
About the Programme
Like most academic degrees, law program at IUB starts with the foundation and compulsory core courses. There are five elective courses to choose from a number of legal topics tailored to a particular career path. Teaching is through a combination of lectures, seminars, group work, presentations and ‘mooting sessions’ – practical law training in a courtroom setting to help students master important legal skills such as research and analysis, public speaking and argument formation.
