Department of Irrigation & Water Management
The Department of Irrigation and Water Management started functioning under the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Technology in the year 1964. The department was opened to meet the growing need of specialists in the field of Irrigation and Water Management for boosting up agricultural production in the country. In addition to teaching, the department, since is inception, has been working for focusing, fostering and promoting the research and extension activities in the field of Irrigation and Water Management in the country. The teacher in this department is carried out by highly qualified personnel having higher degrees mostly from abroad.
