Graphic Design department of the Faculty of Fine art established in 1948. During that time name of this department was Commercial Art department. This department began its work with only one teacher – Mr. Quamrul Hasan. He was the former Head of the Department. After a few days, Mr. Khawaja Shafique Ahmed joined him. Later on, Mr. Quyyum Choudhury, Mr. Samarjit Roy Choudhury, Mr. Syed Ali Azam, Mr. Jameer Uddin Joined as teachers.
