The Department of Finance at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) is a solid and growing department within the Independent School of Business (ISB). With 5 full-time faculty members conducting research in all major fields of finance this is a research-oriented department with close networking to the financial industry and policy makers of Bangladesh.
In teaching, the department covers a range of programs, ranging from the finance major courses in the Bachelor and Masters programs in Business Administration. Most of our graduates find their way in financial management positions or in staff functions in industry, government, international organizations and the financial industry: commercial banks, investment banks, insurance companies, real estate companies, and financial consultancies. Many have also come back after completing Postgraduate programs from developed countries to join the academia as well, offering both professional and research-oriented dimensions to the department.
