Welcome to the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BAIUST. The Department of CSE started its journey in February, 2015. Home to more than 200 students, we have been able to establish ourselves as one of the leading CSE departments in the country within the last few years. Currently, we are situated in the Comilla Cantonment and will soon be headed to the permanent campus at EPZ, Comilla. The B.Sc. program is UGC approved and we are in progress for the IEB accreditation. The unprecedented mobility of knowledge, technology, information and capital has redefined the field of CSE as it has emerged as one of the most influential player in modernizing and improving the quality of lives of the people on the earth. In this context, we have taken up the challenge of producing quality graduates who can become leaders in the global arena. We invite bright young students with the ambition to become industry leaders to join our program. The department excels with a unique blend of the rich collection of faculty members, enhancement of the syllabus to adapt to the dynamic nature of the prevalent technology, extra-curricular activities and most importantly the personal care at all the time. We are committed to place our department as one of the top nationwide. We are certain that we have the potential to reach this goal sooner than later. Admission Requirement
1. HSC or equivalent examination in Science Group with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with minimum GPA 3.0 (with additional subject). The sum total of GPA of SSC and HSC should be minimum 7.0 (with additional subjects).
2. Candidates who have obtained A+ in all subjects in HSC and SSC examination are eligible for direct Admission.
3. Candidates who have obtained A+ in HSC and SSC examination will appear the Viva Voce Board only.
4. GCE applicants at A-Level with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Functional English must have GPA 3.0. The sum total of GPA of GCE O-Levels and A-Levels should be minimum 6.5. However, the candidate must not have any F grade at any subject of both levels.
