Varendra University (VU) is an academic institute located at House-529/1, kazla, motihar Rajshahi. Its institute code (EIIN) is 136695. It was established on 24 September, 2012.

Varendra University or VU is a coeducational private university in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. It acquires approval from the Ministry of Education on March 14, 2012, and from the University Grants Commission (UGC) on March 20, 2012, under the Private University Act of 1992. VU was the first UGC approved private university in Rajshahi. One of its founders is Liakat Sikdar, former President of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
