Timirkathi Girls’ Secondary School is situated in the village Timirkathi. It is in 9, Dapdapia Union under Nalchity Upazilla of Jhalakathi District. This village is to the south of the river Kirtonkhola. Mr. Mowlana M.A. Gani Khan was one of the Scholars of this village. Mr. Khan always thought of the people and the children who were lag behind for want of education properly. To bring them in the light of education. Mr. Khan established a seperate Girls’ School in 1969. Is named after the name of the village Timirkathi Secondary Girls’ School. We the co-operation of Md. Abdul Matin Akon, Md. Kanchan Ali Khan & Other ellites of the villages. Mowlana M.A. Goni Khan was selected chairman of this school. In 1970 this school got first permission and recognition to start its classes as junior then in 1983 the honourable board has given permission as Secondary School with humanities group only. Then it got first recognition i.e academic affiliation in 1989. Then in 1992 it got permission to open science group. Thus this school is going a long way towards building the base of the students’ education. In every year the results of public examination of this school is satisfactory. This school only one institution for girls’ in a rural and beautiful environment. So this is the only unique school for its education, result and beautiful environment out of another school of its surroundings.
