T.M.S.S. Medical College is an educational establishment that is located at Bogura. On 01 January, 2008, it was first put into operation.
For the benefit of those who are underprivileged, discriminated against, neglected, exploited, and mistreated, TMSS was founded. The most crucial of the basic human necessities is a medical facility. The availability of quality medical care for the abused and underprivileged has recently become scarce. In addition to the several educational and social welfare institutions that it has worked with over the years, TMSS had long maintained that the country needed a medical college. To create a powerful health services provider, TMSS Medical College (TMC) was founded in the year 2008 as a constituent program of TMSS.
Thousands of well-known NGOs have been working tirelessly for three decades to promote the country’s grassroots-level overall development, but due to a lack of backward and forward linkages and scope, many Economist readers saw the NGOs’ accomplishments as small and truffle-like. The mission of TMSS is philanthropy, and it is a non-profit organization.
The noble commitment that TMSS made to contribute its efforts in the health sector through establishment and operation of three medical technology institutes, one nursing college, three medical assistant training schools, two community paramedic institutes, one ayurvedic unani medical college & hospital, and TMSS Medical College that are approved by the government is to address the challenges in achieving the goal of TMSS and to solidify the organization’s core philosophy. We are expressing our gratitude to the government and to the All-Powerful Allah as a result of this.
The most crucial element in the development of the human being—the best creature in all of creation—is education. Many people today view education as a business, with TMSS being the exception. The entire effort of TMSS is focused solely on improving the quality and standard of education in order to maintain the efficacy and sustainability of education. This will prevent the business owners from pursuing their own financial interests; instead, the money might be utilized to buy educational resources and increase student and teacher satisfaction. Service quality and standards are achieved when the service provider is happy. Additionally beneficial to institutional sustainability is job satisfaction.
TMC has sustained its standing as a top producer of highly qualified doctors, dentists, biomedical scientists, public health practitioners, and allied health professionals over the years. TMSS Medical College is currently the largest private university in Northern Bangladesh devoted solely to training medical specialists and biomedical researchers. The College enrolls 50 students in its Graduate Studies BDS course and 145 students in its MBBS course each session.
The primary goal of the institution was to establish a medical college that would provide instruction in medicine and grant degrees in medicine that would be recognized. When permission was granted by the Government of Bangladesh, the ideal was accomplished thanks to the hard work of the Chairperson and other founding members despite significant opposition.
The TMSS Medical College began operations in 2008, while the TMSS Medical College Dental Unit began operations in 2012. Rajshahi University linked the college with Rajshahi Medical University with the approval of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MOH&FW), and the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) recognized the college.
The college now has an academic building with functional amenities. The majority of the departments can now be housed in larger locations. A referral hospital for tertiary care, the nearby TMSS Medical College & Rafatullah Community Hospital offers top-notch training for medical students and residents. The Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons recognizes TMC & RCH’s post-graduate training programs in anesthesiology, gynecology & obstetrics, paediatrics, radiology & imaging, and surgery (BCPS). There are accommodations for 750 inpatients at the hospital. A hospital with 1000 beds is currently being built.
It is well-equipped and offers affordable, high-quality healthcare to the general people. The entire hospital staff is committed to providing excellent care and services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
