Mr. Rajjab Ali Panchaet is the founder of this Institution. At first it was named Sohagdal M. Madrasha.In 1922 Calcutta University recognished the School as the name of Sohagdal Public Institution as secondary school. First recognition paper cutting is not found because it was burnt at the time of war, 1971. In this school compound there are a girls school, a mosque, a post office, a kindergarten, a mrdrasha and a govt. primary school on the land of 4.06 acre. The school has 2.38 acre land of its own in this compound. It becomes as a educational complex.
