Babu Jogendro Nath Chakroborti,a great educationaist at that time founded a school in 1898,that’s name was “RAHMATPUR HIGH ENGLISH SCHOOL” at present which is known “RAHMATPUR SECONDARY SCHOOL”.The school was approved by ‘Calcutta University’ at the date of 25/02/1899 in the sindicate meeting on 406 no agenda. At that time those who contributed were Babu Saroda Chandro chakroborti, Babu Hiralal chakroborti and Babu Motilal Chakroborti. At first the Headteacher was Babu Shasibhuson Singh. He worked for the school at a stretch of 10 years. After the independence of Bangladesh,the school is recognized as an eminent institution in Babugonj upazilla.In sense of result the school is regarded the greatest one. About 800 students are studying now in this school.
