Presidency University (PU) is an educational establishment that is located at 11/A, Road 92, Gulshan-2, Dhaka. It was founded by Mr. Muslehuddin Ahmad. Its Educational Institute Identification Number or EIIN, is 136671. On 01 January, 2003, it was first put into operation.

Presidency University is a private university with two campuses, in Gulshan and Banani, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Presidency University has three schools containing four departments with a strong emphasis on research-based education. It is a new university. The Gulshan campus was established in 2003. In 2008, the university opened a second campus in nearby Banani, Dhaka to cater to the growing number of students. More than 1,500 students are enrolled. The number of faculty members teaching at the university is nearly 100.
