History and Tradition of Panchari College: With a view to provide higher education in this locality, people of various social status came ahead to establish the college in 1992A.D It is situated to the east side of Panchari – Khagrachari( R&H) road , 1 km. from Panchari Upazila H/Q and 25 km. far from district H/Q.The land area of the college is 5 acre recorded and 2 acre acquisitions land. The College was started as ( H.S.C level) with Humanities, Business Studies and Science group. Now it is enlarged with degree courses like B.S.S, B.B.S and it is expecting to open Honours course within the next two years. Now existing position of students enrollment is about 2200 , teachers and staffs 49.The overall results of this institution is highly appreciated. As plain lands, the road communication is smooth and easy going. The income generating sources of the inhabitants are mainly agricultural based like crops,fruits production with timbers as well. Samir Datta Chakma, founder principal has been running the chair for 23yrs. Message of the Principal: I, the undersigned, in 1992 A.D, with some young master degree holders who almost were my friends took a venture to make a college to meet the higher education for the inhabitants of Panchari Upazila, local elites, job holders as well as all classes of people took participation in this journey. In the launching session we opened Humanities and Business Studies and after one year we abled to open Science group. Now it is scalled to degree College and we hope very recently it would be a college of minimum two Honours Subject. Near about 2200 students and 49 numbers of teachers and staffs. To lead the college properly, we are planned to mobilize a modern technology that is dynamic website. To make an upgraded institution, to materialize the slogan, “Digital Bangladesh” dynamic website opening is a must. Hence, I and the whole family members of the college are felt happy moment for the meet of must waited demand dynamic website in this college. I wish all success for the college.
