College: Kapatackha Shammilani Degree College was established at the village Barandali in Keshabpur upazilla under the district of Jessore, some 15 km west to Satkhira from the upazilla sadar/town of Keshabpur. Background of Establishment: In the Pre-establishment period of this college, due to inavailability of the suitable field/institution of higher studies in Barandali region and its surroundings a group of some noble persons led by Mr. Md. Ershad Ali Gazi came forward to establish a college in Barandali Govt. Primary school. With this continuation, this instituion was finally inaugurated in 1987 on the land adjacent to Barandali High School in the name of Kapatackha Shammilani College. From the inception to Now: In the period of its inauguration as it had no land or building of its own, the college was then shifted to its own land donated by Mr. Md. Jamir Uddin Gazi of Saraskati village. The college got its Academic Recognition after the appointment of present Principal Mr. Md. Tauhidul Islam by fulfilling the conditions of B.I.S.E. Jessore on 01/07/1994 and included in M.P.O. on 01/01/1995. For the convenience of higher Education for the students of this region the college became affiliated under the National University in 2000 and also included in M.P.O. in the same year. The college got its permission and recognition to open H.S.C Business Management (B.M) Course under the B.T.E.B. Dhaka in 2010. At present, the college has got a magnificent two-storeyed Academic Building, two semi- concrete buildings, a Shaheed Minar and a large play-ground.
