Hosnabad High School is one of the best schools in Gournadi Upa-zilla under Barsal district. It was founded by Alhaz Abdul Malek Akond in 1967, with the help of all classes of people from Hosnabad and Char-Sarikal, specially with the guidence of late A.Mannan Akond, A.Latif Akond,S. Ahmed Khalifa, A. Rahman Akond, Surendra Nath Sikder etc. The school was founded on a sugercane field over night. The number of then students were a few. The first and founder Headmaster was Mr.Khadem Hossain Sarder from North Sarikal. He was a scholar person and a renowned teacher. Though the school was established compititively with the East Hosnabad S.K.M. High school,The said school was affiliated first within a year. Since then the results of S.S.C. and later on J.S.C.are always praisworthy. In the current year we have got ten GPA-5 along with two Golden GPA-5 out of Seventy students.The teachers are better-trained and try their best to keep their heads high. Besides education the school bears good reputation in sports, games and co-curricular activities. Strict discipline is maintained here.The site of the school is charming. Now-a-days the institution is regarded as one of the best schools of North Barisal. We are proud of our school.
