Department of Physical Education and Sports Science was established in 2011. Degree Offered: B. A. (Hons.). This is the first and pioneering department at a tertiary level of education in Bangladesh. The PESS department has a high reputation and has been recognized nationally as a leader in the delivery of physical education and sports science programme. With its growing demand and interest in academic programmes that relate to sport, the science of sport, health and physical activity, the PESS department’s mission is to promote and advance learning and knowledge in the area of physical education and sports sciences through innovative teaching and research. The students will receive excellent professional and academic preparation to become effective professionals in the field of Physical Education & Sports Science.
