Welcome to the Department of Mathematics in Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University. This department was established in 2004 as a part of Department of Mathematics and Physics. In 2015, this unit became functional as an independent department and began to offer B. Sc. (Hons) in Mathematics. The vision of the department is to serve as a center of excellence for mathematical education and research. The mission of the department is to provide quality education for the students to enhance their ability through the generation and dissemination of scientific and mathematical knowledge by quality academic programmers, creative learning and innovative research in a wide range of fields of application. To make an effective collaboration with the latest researches, we try our best to provide an updated syllabus covering lab-oriented programs, theoretical courses, semester-wise continuous assessment, and viva-voce. Students of this department learn various mathematical programming and computer languages such as FORTRAN, C++, MATLAB, Mathematica etc. The department also encourages the students to engage in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities for developing their organizational skills as well as contributing towards the wellbeing of the nation.
