As more organizations are expanding their HR departments to adhere to the changing employment laws and compete in today’s business marketplace, Bachelor’s in Human Resources degrees are becoming increasingly popular at the top universities all over the globe.
To ensure this overwhelming demand, IUB’s Human Resources Management program offers opportunities for students to develop professional competence in the area of personnel administration and development. They will acquire an understanding of and skills in developing and implementing human resources systems, including recruitment, selection, evaluation, training, motivation, and compensation.
Faculty members of HRM department always thrive to develop and foster the management skills of students with an emphasis in Human Resources Management. Students always get the exposure to the job market of Bangladesh and discuss diversity in the workplace, employee development and the management of talent.
Students from the Human Resource Management program have facilities to be a member of BSHRM – Bangladesh Society of Human Resource Management making it one of a select number of HR specific organization in the country. Courses required in the human resource management curriculum include Manpower Planning and Forecasting, Labor Economics and Compensation Theory, Industrial Law and Relations, Strategic Human Resource Management, International Human Resource Management, Contemporary Human Resource Practices in Bangladesh, Human Resource Information System and Human Resource Accounting.
Students are always encouraged to participate in the programs organized by the club named ‘Independent HR Society’. These activities provide excellent opportunities for students to learn about actual organizational problems and successes through presentations and field trips.

Career Opportunities
The student majoring in Human Resources Management can expect to start his or her career as an HRM specialist in an area such as recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, or labor relations. Assignment to one of these areas may be preceded by an assignment in one or more functional areas of the organization. In recognition of their important contribution, human resource managers are well compensated. Graduates can also enjoy careers in such fields as insurance, retailing, banking and other service industries.
