English was established in 2013. Degree Offered: B. A. (Hons). The main purpose of this department is not only to teach English literature but to join them with the communicative and professional fields to get more opportunities in job sectors. We also offer students the opportunities to examine literary, theoretical and critical texts from a variety of cultural contexts, fostering advanced skills of comprehension, interpretation, and analysis. A core feature of the syllabus is the investigation of English as a global language, with courses in Applied Linguistics, Second-Language Acquisition, Bilingualism, and the methodology of English-Language Teaching, enabling students to develop practical and academic techniques for further research in the fields of Literature and Linguistics. Along with the above activities this department familiarizes students with the internationally recognized proficiency tests such as IELTS and TOEFL and helps students build up integrated skills in taking these proficiency tests. It will assist them to get higher education and acquire knowledge in abroad to facilitate the access of the study and research and to create in this way a class of skilled persons.
