The Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) is one of the most dynamic and fast-growing departments of IUB. Starting its journey in 2004, EEE has been part of the technology revolution and is a leader in both teaching and research. The EEE department is operating under the School of Engineering and Computer Science (SECS) and is located at level 5 & 6 in an academic block of IUB. Students coming to the EEE department to study the engineering program can expect a curriculum that is constantly updated and competitive on the world stage, dedicated faculty members, an excellent teacher-student relationship, and cutting-edge know-how. With an online course management system and a rich digital archive of journals and research materials, students are provided with an intellectually stimulating and conducive academic environment. With well-equipped laboratories and world-class faculty members having vast experience both in industry and academia, major courses are designed with their practical applications in mind. Currently, the department has more than 500 undergraduate and 40 graduate students. With coagulation of highly qualified full-time faculty members, EEE is building itself as a center for excellence & innovative research in the region.
To supplement classroom teaching, most science and engineering courses are backed by practical laboratory classes. For this purpose, EEE department has fully equipped 18 laboratories including circuits lab, electronics lab, microprocessor and interfacing lab, DSP lab, telecommunication lab, networking lab, control lab, machines lab, Physics Lab, Computer Lab, and Sr. Project Lab/ Research Lab. The equipments used for conducting laboratory classes in these labs include antenna and wave propagation trainer, spectrum analyzer, digital storage oscilloscope, digital and analogue communication trainer, fiber optics trainer, control system trainer, electrical machines training system, digital signal processing trainer, microprocessor trainer, industrial electronics training system, data communication and networking training system, mobile communication trainer. Besides these laboratories, the school of engineering & computer science also has three fully equipped computer laboratories with more than 150 computers. These are used by the students to perform their assignments, and for running engineering simulations.
EEE department has both wired and wireless high-speed data connectivity for all the students and faculty members.

EEE department offers the following degrees:
