Electrical engineering is the study of electric power distribution, motors, and generators whereas electronic engineering is the study of robotics, communications, circuits, electromagnetic fields and digital and analog hardware. The students of the EEE Department receive a thorough grounding in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science and engineering science during their first four semesters. Engineering design and applications are stressed in later courses. The major strengths of this program lie in its faculty, the basic philosophy on which the curriculum is built, and the outstanding laboratory facilities in the engineering building. The curriculum is based on providing a sound engineering background with small class sizes. Students are urged to discuss their plans as early as possible with their counselor on related courses. The EEE Department office is available for individual advice and encourages students to contact us.
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Daffodil International University (DIU) was established in the year 2009. It is now one of the largest departments of this University. The department is still growing very fast. After getting approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh the Department started its journey with 27 students. Within a short period of time, the growth in student admission has become tremendously high. We have, however, developed sufficient classrooms and lab facilities to cope with the growth in student numbers.
