Petroleum and mining engineering was established in 2009. One Degree Offered: B. Sc. Engg. To produce Engineers for the worldwide petroleum & mining industry and perform research that enhances the state-of-the-art in petroleum & mining technology. The main objective of the department is to bring into being skilled professional personnel to enhance the exploitation of natural resources (mainly coal, peat, hard rock, white clay, glass sand, gas, oil etc.) and exploit hydrocarbon recovery at minimum outlay while maintaining a strong emphasis on reducing environmental impact.
