The Department of Management Studies is the premier department of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur. It was established in 2009 under the faculty of Business Studies and commenced its academic activities in the academic year 2009-2010. The department houses some of the most accomplished and committed faculty members who always strive to maintain a very high standard of academic environment and research. The aim of the department is to provide rigorous and potential business education that creates a leader for the nation as well as global management and organization.
The Department of Management Studies comes into being in 2009. Dr. Md. Motiur Rahman was the first (Founder) Head of the department. Currently, there are about 200 students enrolled in the BBA program under the department.

A 4-year semester system (2 semesters per year) of teaching and letter grade system of evaluation is introduced in the BBA program from the very first batch of students.
