The Department offers a four-year B. A. Honours course and M. A. courses of one-year duration. Our students take courses rooted in a variety of different geographical areas and periods. These comprised: Ancient Bengal, Medieval Bengal, Modern Bengal, History of Liberation War of Bangladesh, History of South Asia (Major in Indian History), England, the USA, Modern East Asia, Latin America, Africa, Australia, Europe, as also History of the Soviet Union and Archaeology.
