Welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering at BAIUST. The Department of CE started in March 2016. Home to civil engineering students, the Department is working to establish as one of the leading CE departments in the country within the next few years. Currently, we are situated in the Comilla Cantonment area. The B.Sc. in Civil Engineering program is UGC approved and in the process for the IEB accreditation.
The unprecedented mobility of knowledge, technology, information, and capital has redefined the field of CE as it has emerged as one of the most influential players in modernizing and improving the quality of lives of the people on the earth. In this context, we have taken up the challenge of producing quality graduates who can become the future leaders in the global arena. Admission Requirement
1. HSC or equivalent examination in Science Group with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with minimum GPA 3.0 (with additional subject). The sum total of GPA of SSC and HSC should be minimum 7.5 (with additional subjects).
2. Candidates who have obtained A+ in all subjects in HSC and SSC examination are eligible for direct Admission.
3. Candidates who have obtained A+ in HSC and SSC examination will appear the Viva Voce Board only.
4. GCE applicants at A-Level with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Functional English must have GPA 3.0. The sum total of GPA of GCE O-Levels and A-Levels should be minimum 6.5. However, the candidate must not have any F grade at any subject of both levels.
