The primary goal of Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is to offer courses for the students of Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Science (MS) and Ph.D. The Department involves in different fundamental and basic researches in the field of physiological and biochemical mechanisms underlying plant stress tolerance, protective roles of various growth regulators, natural bioactive compounds triggering plants and animals performances etc. for the development of agriculture. The Department also conducting researches on how environmental cues (photoperiod, temperature, salinity, hydrostatic pressure) perceive by the fish brain which is turning to regulate H-P-G axis (Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Gonad) and how environmental toxins induce Parkinson’s disease.
