The chlana M.M college was established in1984 in Dacope Upazilla proper. The college is about 30 kilometers away to the south from Khulna town. At present, it has come under chalna corporation. It stands on the strong river pashar at the edge of the world famous Sundarbans covering 5.49 acres of land. It was named so after the name of Marhum Mobarak Mollya. The donors were the five sons of Marhum Mobarak Mollya. The Local people also gave financial help. In July 1985 the college got approval from the Jessore Education Board and on 01/03/1986 it got MPO. In 1987, HSC examination centre was set up in this college. In 1995, the college was included in Higher Secondary Education project and with the financial help of the Asian Development Bank a three storeyed building was built. Furniture, books for the library and science equipments were also supplied. Besides the three storeyed building, there are five semi pucca tin shed houses in our college. Two of them are used as students hostels and the remaining houses are used as classroom. The college has a big play ground and a big pond too. From session 2001-2002, HSC B.M course was opened under the technical Education Board and from 02/07/2001 it got recognition. It got MPO on 01/05/2002. At present 160 students get chance to be admitted in four trades. form 2006 for the HSC BM course examination centre was established in this college. From session 2005-2006, BA and BSS courses were introduced under the national University. The centre of the two programmes are also prevalent in the college. At present 32 teachers including the principal, 2 demonstrator, 1 physical instructor, 1 librarian, 1 demonstrator come mechanic, 3 third class employees, 1 type lab assistant, 1 computer lab assistant and 8 fourth class employs are working in this college.
